Xia is an artist specialising in watercolour, charcoal and acrylic ink
Xia was born in Dalian, China; and in 2001 moved to the beautiful city of Auckland, New Zealand where she was married and gave birth to a beautiful daughter which you can see in the portrait painting below titled “Blissful”.
Xia’s drawing talent was discovered from a very early age. Over the years she has developed her art skills extensively, she specialises in acrylic ink, watercolour and charcoal paintings. Portraits have always been her special area of interest. She begins with drawing from a photo as reference before bringing the art to life with paint.
Using only high quality Fabriano professional paper, Daniel Smith and Schmick professional watercolour pigments and acrylic inks to ensures a fade-resistant, personalised painting that will be a timeless piece for you and your loved ones!

How it Works
The journey starts like this...
We begin with a 15–30 minute consultation via Google Meets, or in person where appropriate.
During this session we can discuss what you would like painted and a preferred photograph can be decided based on the images provided.
After the consultation, an estimate of cost will be calculated. Pricing is dependent on size of the painting and the level of detail. Once agreed, we will sign an agreement prior to commencing work.
Please contact me in the initial instance using the below form which allows you to provide details and upload photographs. Several photos of your subject are required so that I can garner an intricate understanding of the subject.
